Chennai is a city for people of all ages and backgrounds. With several unique attractions the place is often considered a perfect getaway that can be easily reached through air, rail or road, depending on your pocket and distance. The climate of the city is also not much of a problem. It is humid most of the year, quite hot in the summers and bountiful rains in the winter. The temperature is mildest in the months of December and January.

However, despite of its humid weather, Chennai is stormed by visitors all round the year. There is a lot to see and take back home from this 367 year old city. Chennai is a famous center of the classical Indian dance Bharata Natyam and holds over 1000 dance performances annually. Chennai also boasts of some grand art and craft galleries like the Amethyst, Crafts and Weaves, Lakshmi Ethiraj Art Gallery, Contemporary Arts and crafts Showroom, Pot Holes, Vimonisha Art Gallery and the Manasthala etc. Chennai is also famous for its beautiful sarees and delicious food. The typical south Indian flavor is an addiction to people.
